Re: WWE RAW & Smackdown Thread

I havent watched wrestling since my now 13 year old son was a huge Cena fan when he was like 7. Playing WWEWK22 I found Karrion Kross entrance and everything cool as hell. I love the God Of War vibe. I have him in a huge feud with Booker T now over the IC belt and it's great. Characters make wrestling to me. I'll definitely check in a bit on the live programming to see how Kross looks live.

Yeah I’m all set with retreading NXT from 5 years ago. Obviously bring back guys/girls who can bring something to the table. But zero desire to see DIY or then feuding again. I’d be fine with Bray back but not as the fiend. All the character can be is something that continually gets booked into corners.

I'll say this, the fact that the crowd chanted for Ronda and booed Liv Morgan with the show in South Carolina is a bad sign. I normally can brush it off if it's a mark crowd in a mark city but Becky was right. Just like when Bayley was giving a promo with a sling on her arm and was booed, Liv suffered the same fate.

I know it was part of DB's character, but fickleness is an issue that plagues modern wrestling fans.

It happens far too often in more than a few promotions to say it's just a WWE issue (bad booking, yadda, yadda).

I'll wait until we see how another city/crowd reacts to her before I'd say they've "turned" on her. It was definitely not a good look and I'm not sure - other than DQ or count out - how she can "realistically" beat a legit cage/shoot fighter.

Yeah, there's no way for her to "realistically" win over Ronda yet. She's not high enough up the card for any definitive win to make sense.

People generally like her so they could cut off any crowd turning before it gets started, but her winning the title with MITB (which is always kinda weak just by the nature of the cash-in) and then the SummerSlam finish aren't great ways to start things off.

Yeah the MITB cash in is tough to pull off with a baby face, you’d generally want to do it against someone who just cheated to win a match or a scenario like Ambrose cashing in on Rollins because of their history

Re: WWE RAW & Smackdown Thread

It will be interesting to see the ratings for Raw tomorrow. Last week did the highest rating in a long time. I can't remember how long I read but it was 2.2 million.

This will be a big test for them to see how many of those new viewers come back. Or hell, maybe even increase viewership again. That would be something.
