I watched that matched. I just about stopped watching it too because Isner was getting his butt beat the 1st two sets. He really didn't deserve to win that match against the other US youngster but he pulled it out. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Isner get put out next round. Thanks!

Yea, I wanted to see Isner go down and get some new blood in here for the Americans. Tired of Isner, Querry, Sock, ect...already

Wanna see guys like Tiafoe & Fritz come up.

US Open

2 down (Murray/Serena)... 1 to go !

How cool would it be to see Monfils beat the #1, then win the slam ?

I'm actually rooting for Monfils as well myself. Be nice for him to get his 1st Grand Slam title at the US Open.

Jesus Christ, what the hell was that ? He comes out like complete crap (idk if he was nervous or what/trying too hard ?? it's not like Djokovic was doing anything special at that point and he's played so well up until now)... goes down 5 to 1 in the first set and then basically stops trying. I was assuming he just wanted to get to the next set, but then Djokovic couldn't even win that game....or the next one Taking 1st serve returns inside the baseline, serving and volleying when he never does that.. I understand trying to do different things when you're getting your brains beat in, but it's like he panicked instead of just playing normal tennis and expecting your level of play to pick up. What a weird match. I feel bad for the ppl who paid to see that. At least they got a decent one in the other semi.

Stanimal is looking good though and could be primed for the upset if he's smashing that backhand down the line. Djokovic hasn't even had to battle yet the whole tournament, so hopefully that plays into Stan's favor, as he just came off 2 competitive matches.

Yeah, definitely weird in how Monfils reacted. I mean he used to act this way all the time. In the past few years he has gotten serious about his tennis game & look where it has gotten him. He didn't even try the 1st two sets.

I know it was hot & humid but Djokovic was beating him at half speed those 1st two sets. Monfils can win a Grand Slam title if he would stay serious & stop these antics. He's almost 30 years of age so he better hurry.
