FIFA 2019 Women's World Cup

Might as well start this.

Thailand doesn't belong on the same field as the US. Feel bad for them. As I type this it's 7-0 US (4 goals in the first 10 mins of the 2nd half), and they could score well over 10 if they feel like it.

I turned it off at 4-0. I was starting to feel embarrassed for Thailand.

So, that goal difference is looking pretty good...

Alex Morgan is probably going to win the golden boot off the first two matches alone.

People saying the US should have let up. Nah, that's more insulting than scoring 13. This is the World Cup not a friendly.

They could have eased up a bit on the celebrations after every goal. No need for all that.

Re: FIFA 2019 Women's World Cup

People have a right to rip the celebrations at that point.

It'd be like celebrating a home run or strikeout after being up 17-0, or celebrating a dunk when up by 30 late. No need for it, doesn't matter if its men's or womens game.

I didn't see the quality of the goals so I dont know if they should've/could've "let up", but I know in hockey sometimes the score can be like 12-0 in these Canada vs Belgium games or something like that. Not because of showboating, but sometimes you're 50% is still good enough to score on teams. And these players even during a practice are still trained to compete at a certain level so for some they just dont know how to let up, or they dont realize their let up is still too much.

It'd be like a pro sprinter going up against an amateur. You're not gonna intentionally run circles around them, but you dont exactly know how to play down too much.
