I was going to say, I'll bet ol' Doc Jones probably worked on that game as part of the original dev team at EA!

And 10 seconds in the Habs get 2 good scoring chances.....

Luckily Leafs stopped those chances.

Nice to see the arena packed with fans though. Even in normal times, those seats are empty half the game.

That's a very good point that I did not think of

Not quite that geriatric, though I would've jumped at the opportunity. The two NHL games I worked on (05 & 06) aren't exactly remembered fondly, if at all. I'm back at EA these days, so maybe I'll get to work on NHL 25 or something.

Maybe not by many, but NHL 06 is probably my third favorite in the series. NHL 2003, and NHL 14 occupy my first two slots.

Re: The Official 2021-22 Season Talk Thread

Did not realize the season started on Tuesday. Well I’ve posted in here now so it’ll come up on my participated tab.

Flyers don’t open until tomorrow, Friday night. I don’t know what to think of them this season, a lot of shake-up done in the offseason but the net result seems like we didn’t get better or worse? Just different. But that can matter, because I expected us to go far last year and we totally fell flat on our face. We’ve always played better with lower expectations so I’m kinda here for the ride. Looking to get to a few games this year as it’s been a while...

NHL 06 was nice. Not as good as 04, but given that the NHL changed so much, 06 did a great job with all that. I remember NHL even used video game footage to explain to people some of the changes.

Not sure what my fave is of all the ones I've played in the 10s. They all felt like copies of each other. Biasedly I'd say maybe NHL 15/Legacy simply because of that roster editor that someone made for PCs.
