Did I mention before how much I hate hockey?

Just about ready to see major changes to this team.

High priced Leafs offense fails to score on the same day former Leaf and playoff suspension king Kadri scores a game-winner.

The start of the play-in couldn't have much worse for Leafs fans.

What I don't get is how Leafs never realize their own problem. It's been the same problem for decades.

"Leafs need defence"
"Ok, we'll get guys who can score"
"But how does that solve the defensive issues?"
"The offense can score"
"But defense?"
"The goalie stops pucks"
"But the goalie faces 35 shots a game with many high quality chances"
"But Go Leafs Go"

Next GM/Coach gets brought in, repeat steps over again.

Nylander or Marner traded for a #1 dman, that has to happen. I don't want defensive depth or draft picks, it has to be a #1 guy or nothing.

Nylander isn't close to bringing a #1 Dman in a trade lmao and Marner is going to be very difficult for a team to take on that contract if the NHL is truly going to see a flat cap for the next 3 years.
