Mitch Marner has looked really good so far.

I wonder if he's going to be converted to RW full time once he gets to the NHL?
I think the Knights have been playing him there more and more this season.

This kid just looks like he's on a different level as anyone else.
He should be playing in the AHL right now.

He's not AHL eligible is he? But he's not gonna be rushed to the pros. Leafs giving these guys as much time as they need in lower ranks before moving up.

No he's not.
But I think there's some room for exceptions where some kids are above OHL but not ready for the NHL.
I think Max Domi would have been fine in the AHL last year as would Marner this season.

But I'm also someone who's for pushing the draft age back to 20-years-old.
They could make exceptions where you can draft an 18YO but if you do, they have to start in the NHL. That way you still get the Crosby's, McDavid's, Ekblads, etc.

I think by making it an older draft, teams will reap the benefits of the draft sooner. Or at the very least, you can place your prospects in the AHL right away.
But I don't think that'll ever happen due to the CHL competing with NCAA and stealing their players.

And there I go again hijacking a thread. Sorry.

It starts today.

Last match of the day is USA v. Canada, at 19.00 in Europe, so at 1PM for East Coast.

Nylander gone from Sweden-Swiss game after a swiss player delivered a dirty hit. He was gonna get Nylander either way cause Nylander wasn't looking that direction, but the Swiss guy clearly wasn't going for the puck or trying to push him off the puck,it was headshot all the way

It's always fun to beat Canada

Matthews is really good. He didn't have a ton of room out there, but you can tell that he's quite a player. Belpedio was one of USA's best defenders, I thought.
