Welp, that's that.
Good luck to TB the rest of the way.

Re: NHL Off-Topic thread

I think AV has a lot of questions to answer to, as those last 2 games were absolutely dreadful.

Not as many as talents like Rick Nash and Eric Staal should have to answer to. Although those players probably weren't as good as you would think. Their season by season stats are surprisingly low for guys so highly regarded.

Yes I agree. Both of them as well as Girardi had disappointing seasons.

Offensive deadline acquisitions almost never work out.
The best deadline deals are for bottom-6 forwards and dmen.

For every top-6 forward that actually contributes to a teams playoff success there are dozens that don't do squat.

For all the analytic's out there, I'm surprised GM's aren't wising up to this fact.

Re: NHL Off-Topic thread

Anybody listening to Ken Holland right now. It's pretty amusing. Here are the entertaining quotes:

"I'm not into a rebuild. They take 8-10 years and that's if you want to tank it."
"We're going to give more responsibility to younger players."
"There are no quick fixes. You can't wave a magic wand and find a superstar"

Tell that to the Sharks who drafted Joe Pavelski in the 7th round at pick 205 of the 2003 draft.
