For sure he was....thats a fun area I spent many night there after Bison games on Saturday nights with a few AAA players and some fun. Some good food spots to hit up after too.

Like I said before, I'm sure they were drunk and obnoxious and the cabby was giing them flack back and forth. One thing lead to another and the Kanes decided to be real pricks and basically not tip the guy to piss him off more.

I'm sure alot of expletives were thrown back and forth before the blows to the haed came down. Kane should have been the bigger man and thrown the guy a $20. Simple solution.

Now he has a nightmare of a problem to deal with. A season of being made fun of and ridiculed by fans and legal problems and maybe $$ repercussions if EA has some sort of clause to take him off the cover....im sure a bonus or some funds would be lost or forced to be returned.

I've met alot of jr hockey players through my former jobs in the sports arena....and Spezza was the same as Kaner....too much too fast. It hasn't blown up for Spezza as bad as it has for Kaner.....will except maybe by his on ice play.

These guys get what they want too early and are forced to learn some tough lessons later on in life...kind of sad really. For everyone of these jerk type guys there are 50 good guys in hockey.

Yeah, but underage drinking + assault and battery isn't a fun combo. You gotta think that any court will be more likely to punish him (vs. just having one or the other to deal with).

Who am I kidding though, he's an athlete and this isn't super serious, he'll probably just get probation and community service.
