Re: Week 18 Discussion Thread

Just saw this on Twitter.

Jan. 8, 2023- The Texans beat the Colts in Week 18 to drop from the #1 overall pick to #2.

Jan. 6, 2024- The Texans beat the Colts in Week 18 to go to the playoffs with the player they took #2 overall.

And if Jacksonville somehow loses tomorrow, we win the division!

Re: Week 18 Discussion Thread

What an unbelievable turnaround. Just wow. I never thought we were as bad in the last few years just rudderless. I thought with coaching and the changes that we could be a 7-9 win team easier than others thought.

Who knew that this team actually should have been better than we ended up being, but all the injuries and first year kinks hurt us in closing out games and such.

Anyway, I'm excited. I'm not scared of any team. Let's see what happens. Happy to be "ahead of schedule."

It feels so good. After those Vladimir O'Brien years which I never believed a damn thing about despite the "divisional championships." Feels like the real Texans haven't been in the playoffs in ten years.

the OSU QBs have had a bad rep, with reason, but it's nice to not only see one hit, but rookie QBs in general, always cool to to see right away "yep, he's the guy"

also, man that's a bummer for the dude that dropped that pass on 4th down, woof, Minshew changed arm angle to avoid the bat down, and Aikman blamed him for not leading him lol, yeesh

Re: Week 18 Discussion Thread

I’m not mentally prepared for what the Bears are about to do to me this afternoon. At the end of the day I’ll either think they’re going to the Super Bowl next year or I’ll want to fire everyone, nothing in between. It’s going to be a long off season

Re: Week 18 Discussion Thread

Listen, losing to the Lions last year to have our season ended hurt.

But if we let *this* team and *that* Qb do the same thing a year later…man listen lol

Re: Week 18 Discussion Thread

The season can’t end soon enough for Carolina. Really nice scramble and completion by Young and DJ Chark loses a fumble as he’s diving for the end zone
