They have similar playing styles so Russ would be a good guy for Fields to model his game after but I’m not sure how much Fields can realistically expect to learn from Wilson. Russ’ only concern is going to be keeping his starting job and trying to salvage his career. I do think this is one of the best landing spots for Fields though

Personally, I think Fields will end up with the starting job before week 8 or 9 but they'll manage snaps to keep compensation down. Fields will be their QB for the next decade

It's remarkable to me that the 49ers got more in return from the Cowboys for Trey Lance than the Bears got from the Steelers for Justin Fields.

Yes, two years of contract (and having a year before making the 5th year option decision) made Lance more valuable.
