Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs - 1st Round Discussion Thread

Is this the best defense Kelly Oubre has ever played? Since when is he a defensive stopper?

And we haven't seen much of Donte in the second half.

It is the best defense Oubre has played.

Hell of game. Sucks to lose that one. Knicks role players hit timely shots and Sixers couldn't get them off the glass

Without Zero doubt that's the best defense I've ever seen him play

They might need to play Paul Reed with Embiid to keep Hart, Robinson and Hartenstein from killing them on the offensive glass.

Especially with how limited his mobility is again in the playoffs. Seems like I'm saying some variation of the same thing every postseason. SMDH

Welcome to playoff basketball, folks....tough, physical and gritty. What an effort by the Knicks, especially by Josh Hart. How about his hustle on the boards and hitting those clutch 3s. Got to show love to Mitchell Robinson too, doing all he could against Embiid. Plus he nailed those crucial free throws late in regulation. This is going to be a long series. I could see Philly getting a split on Monday.

Yeah. The issue is mostly effort. It's rare you get the "Give a Damn" rebound game from Embiid. At least, Reed is willing to take shots when open, even though it looks clunky. Ideally, Melton can come back this series. He's a good rebounder for his size

They have to limit Tobias Harris minutes. He had 8-9 boards, but he has been clanking shots poorly over the last month or so and missing his assignments.

Knicks had 55 rebounds, 23 offensive....wow. Reminds me of Pat Riley's famous quote, lol.
