Do yall remember either last year or the year before that at the start of the playoffs I expressed little confidence in the Heat because they "lacked an elite scorer, Butler is all-around a great player but he isn't the scoring threat to take over games"

And I've been saying since before the Bubble that Spo is the best coach in the NBA.

As much as I rag on Jimmy Butler there is no denying how ****ing good he is. For a guy with his troubled upbringing, physical "limitations" (average arm length), and "archaic" style of play to come this far is remarkable.

I get why a guy like him - that has worked so hard to get this far - expects his teammates to do the same. I just don't agree with his past tactics, but completely respect his game and path to getting this far.

I think a lot of people are guilty of making bad Jimmy Butler takes. Including myself.

Although I do think their games are somewhat similar, Jimmy Butler is a tier or two above DeMar DeRozan (who I've compared him to in the past).

You can acknowledge Pat Riley is a great GM(he is!)without all the extra stuff because there’s plenty of GMs that have done the same, only difference is those teams are either not playing or they’ve done it and had a much better record/season.
