Re: MLB Off-Topic

Bryce Harper set the record for runs scored in the month of April with 32.

The previous record was Larry Walker in 1997 with 29.

Sean Casey kept talking over him but that was really good by Thome.

Re: MLB Off-Topic

Sean Casey nearly ruined every demo Thome was a part of last night from what I saw as I was switching between channels. That being said, I learned something really awesome from Thome regarding keeping one's swing mechanics going well throughout the season with his "king of the hill" drill where he'd take swings from the pitching mound. That was pretty damn good stuff there.

The whole "fun n' games" aspect of the demo on picking the ball at 1B was pretty thoroughly ruined by Casey's shenanigans. I loved that they were having fun and you need that kind of levity but at LEAST be serious for a little bit too man.....

I feel privileged to have gotten to watch Thome in his prime. He is severely underrated. One of the greatest hitters of all-time.

It's amazing to me how phenominal those late 90s teams were...Thome, Manny, Alomar brothers, Vizquel, Lofton...gosh, it must have been a joy to watch them every day.

They were my favorite Non-Cub team...

I was thrilled when Lofton became a Cub, if only briefly.
