First one since Felix back in 2012. German gave up 10 runs last Thursday…and now throws a perfecto.

Just joking. Great job by German. Think he only went to three balls twice.
As have now been on the recipient of a perfect game in Philly and Oakland. Almost 110 years between games.

This one came almost 11 years since the last one (the 2nd longest span between perfect games since the 1950s). But Felix perfect game came not even 11 WEEKS after the last one. We had 3 in that same season!

Re: 6/19 - 7/2 Game Discussion Thread

This sounds stupid to say, but I'm glad that I can still watch games to the point to not be spoiled about something even the next day.

Case in point, I watched both the end of the Giants game this morning and the Yankees/A's game as well, and had no clue a perfect game had been thrown prior. I almost doubted it would happen thinking I would've heard about it earlier. But again, it's good knowing I can still keep myself in the dark like that, not have the faintest idea of what happened, and still witness history.

It’s a miracle, the Mets got through the first inning with their starter throwing less than 25 pitches

Re: 6/19 - 7/2 Game Discussion Thread

Someone dropped an umbrella on the field and nobody noticed for a few pitches.

Which makes no sense for 2 reasons.

1. How did nobody notice?

2. It isn't even raining or supposed to rain today....

Re: 6/19 - 7/2 Game Discussion Thread

I love the Chicago Cubs, and I love watching baseball every night. I loathe watching this team most nights.

In my opinion, hard to be too upset at the players. Most of them are as advertised, but the FO is asking everyone to do a bit more than is realistic IMO.
