GM Paul Heyman comes out and announces that there will be a lot of changes coming in the next month not just to Mayhem, but to all of the WNAW. Tonight on Mayhem we will see the beginning of a contenders tournament for the Dragon Championship, featuring some long time Dragon competitors as well as some newcomers to Mayhem. The tournament will continue next week and we will also see some guys new Dragon division competitors who are in the process of finalizing their work visas. Also tonight Mayhem and World Champion Blake Evans will be in action in the Main Event and he has issued an open challenge. Four men who will not be challenging him though will be John Cena, The Rock, Triple H, and Brock Lesnar as those four men will face of fin tag action tonight. Also tonight the US and Mayhem Tag Titles will be on the line. But that’s enough about what’s going to happen let’s get to the Dragon Contenders tournament. The first match will feature two current competitors, Low Ki and Austin Bane.
Austin Bane defeated Low Ki in the first round contenders match using the same aggressive manner he has shown in recent weeks.
Paul Heyman came out and congratulated Bane, but also to thank Ki for his time on RAW/Mayhem, he then informs him that he has been traded to another brand. Heyman then announces the next match will feature Ronin Reyes, Jr and former Dragon champion Alex Shelley.
Ronin Reyes, Jr defeated Alex Shelley in the 1st round match.
Paul Heyman comes out and congratulates Reyes for moving on. He then announced that the next match includes a newcomer that he has traded for, the Cape Town Werewolf Justin Gabriel. He comes out, shakes Heyman’s hand and head to the ring. As Heyman is about to announce his opponent he is interrupted by the One Man Rock Band Heath Slater interrupts him. Slater insults Gabriel as he walks to the ring and gets in his face and says he has no business here on his show. After he rants for a few moments Heyman asks him if he is done and Slater just nods. Heyman says good because he is Gabriels opponent. Slater protests but Gabriel gets an early upperhand and ends up hitting a 450 splash for the win.
Heyman congratulates him on his successful debut on Mayhem. He then announces the final first round match and announces former champion Zack Ryder to the ring. He than announces that his opponent is his biggest acquisition for the Dragon division in recent trades. He is former X-Division Champion, Adam Cole.
Cole made a successful debut hitting a reverse DDT on Ryder for the win.
Heyman shakes his hands as he leaves and congratulates all of tonights winners.
Next we see a short reminder of the what happened recently as Angelina Love turned on The Bellas and Velvet Sky debuted joining Love as we saw The Beautiful People reunite.
The Bellas ended up pulling of a somewhat surprising win over TBP but were attacked after the match.
Dean Ambrose successfully defended the United States Championship after hitting MVP with the Dirty Deeds headlock driver for the win.
Hamilton Jones defeated John Morrison to continue their feud.
Curtis Axel defeated Sean Trueth in both mens debut on Mayhem.
The Fierharts defeated The Silverbacks to retain the Mayhem Tag Titles. After the match SHIELD members Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins attacked The Fierharts. Ryan had to be taken out on a stretcher the attack was so brutal.
Paul Heyman came out and announced one of his biggest acquisitions. He is a man who he tried hard to get when he first came to WNAW a few months ago but lost out on the opportunity but he was able to get in a trade. I give you “The Animal” Batista. Out come Batista to a chorus of cheers. He heads to the ring to shake hands with Paul Heyman. He addresses the fans and the Mayhem locker room, particularly champion Blake Evans. He says he is here for one reason and one reason only, to be the World Champion and he plans on going through Evans to get that title. All of a sudden “The Beaten Path” hits the speakers and out walks Bully Ray. He addresses Batista and asks if he things he got away from him by jumping ship to Mayhem. He is sadly mistaken. Batista looks at Heyman and Heyman just shrugs as Bully Ray comes to the ring. Heyman calls for the bell and the two rivals go at it. In the end Batista was able to hit the Batista bomb for the win, but the two men brawled through the crowd after the match.
Brock Lesnar and Triple H defeated The Rock and John Cena.
Blake Evans issued an open challenge to anyone in the back. He stands in the ring and waits but no one comes out. He says its obvious that no one on the Mayhem roster is able to beat him and that he has taken them all out. Everyone is afraid. All of a sudden “Crank it Up” hits the speakers and the crowd goes wild but Evans is going ballistic as The Big Show shows up on the entrance ramp. Evans asks what he is doing here? Show says he is sorry for being a little bit late but he just finished dotting the I’s and crossing the T’s. Show makes his way to the ring but Evans meets him half way. The two men go at it against each other beating each other down back and forth. At one point Evans gets a chair and attacks Show with it. The bell still hasn’t rung yet. The two men finally make it to the ring and Evans uses some underhanded tactics and his feet on the ropes to pick up the win but he quickly leaves the ring after the match. |

The lights come on in the arena but the entrance is covered up by a huge tarp and so is the ring. GM Nigel McGuiness comes out to welcome the fans to a new era. He announces that as of tonight Impact will be no more because they have already made an impact but there is a lot of turmoil going on right now so he welcomes the fans to Turmoil. As he announces it the tarps fall and the tarp over the ring is raised. We see an entrance similar to the SMACKdown one with the fist although with no fist and a just a broken wall. The ring looks very similar. The colors are black, dark blue and grey. The crowd goes wild for the new look. The next big announcement has to do with Impact and International Champion Antonio Cesaro. Cesaro comes out at Nigel’s request. Nigel says he knows that Cesaro is fully capable of defending both of his belts but he needs to him to concentrate on the brand championship. Cesaro gives up the International Championship and he is then handed the new Turmoil Championship. McGuiness then announces a tournament to crown the new International Champion. It will consist of 12 men. The first round will be 3 4-man matches. The winner of each man moves on to the semifinals, while the person getting pinned is eliminated. The other two men who are not involved in the decision will face off for a spot in the semis. The finals will be a triple threat match. (Each man enters the arena as they are announced) In match number 1, we will have 3 current roster members face off: representing Canada, Drake Manning; representing Tanzania, Kareem Jordan; representing England, Magnus; and last but not least representing Italy, newcomer to Turmoil, Santino Marella. In match 2, we will have representing the USA Jack Swagger; representing Scotland Drew McIntyre; also representing the USA Hernandez; and our second newcomer to Turmoil representing India, Jinder Mahal. AS he comes out Mahal and McIntyre just look at each other and nod. In the final match I have 4 guys new to Turmoil although not all 4 necessarily have contracts with Turmoil. First off representing India, The Great Khali; representing Mexico, a man I traded for not compete in both the International and X-Divisions, Espiritu; representing Saudi Arabia, a man making his WNAW debut tonight, Hamid Aziz; and finally representing Ghana, Kofi Kingston. The crowd goes wild as Kofi comes out. These are the 12 men who will battle it out over the next two weeks to be crowned the next International Champion. Also tonight we will see a Turmoil Championship bout as Cesaro defends against Daniel Bryan.
The action in the ring starts with Gail Kim picking up a non-title win over Isys Diamante in non controversial fashion.
Jay Lethal defeated Kenny King in a non title match. After the match King attacked Lethal with a steal chair and Roderick Strong came down with a lead pipe. He chased off King and then turned to Lethal to seemingly check on him, but then beat him with the pipe shocking the crowd. He grabbed the X-Title belt and held it high before dropping it on Lethal. The crowd was in shock at the turn of events.
The first round of the International Title Tournament was up next:
In match 1, Drake Manning shocked everyone by getting the pin by pinning Santino. Jordan and Magnus will face off next week.
In match 2, Jack Swagger pinned Hernandez to advance to the semis. McIntyre and Mahal will face off next week.
In match 3, Kofi Kingston pinned Khali. Aziz and Espiritu will face off nest week
Mickie James made her return to the brand but debut on Turmoil in an in ring segment. James said that she was traded to Smackdown and became the first SD womens champion but no she is back to become the Knockouts Champion. Madison Rayne came out and started bad mouthing James about how she jumped ship because she couldn’t handle it on Impact. Rayne gets in the ring and the two women come face to face. McGuiness walks out and makes a match.
James pins Rayne to win her return to the brand.
James Storm defeated Gunner in another match in their feud after hitting the Last Chance superkick.
Ruin Nation got their hands on Bad Influence after what had been pulled on them recently and were able to pick up the win over a shocked Bad Influence.
Nigel McGuiness comes out again to announce two more acquisitions. He says the following two men have been lighting it up in the Cruiserweight division but fit better in the X-Division. First off comes Xavier Woods, then Sami Callahan gets announced.
Sami Callahan gets the win over his long time rival from SMACKdown Woods.
Impact Tag Team champions The Briscoes were presented with their new Turmoil tag titles prior to their match with the American Wolves.
The Briscoes defeated the Wolves in a non title match that was very competitive. After the match the 2 team shook hands in respect. The Briscoes stayed in the ring to celebrate after the wolves left. As the Briscoes remained in the ring out of nowhere two men wearing masks came in and attacked them taking them out. After laying both men out the two men unmask and reveal Hernandez and current Mayhem Dragon Championship Homicide, the Latin American eXchange LAX standing tall above the champions.
Ausitn Aries and Ron Killings defeated AJ Styles and Samoa Joe when Killings pinned Styles.
In the main event, Turmoil Champion Antonio Cesaro successfully defended the title against Daniel Bryan after Bobby Roode distracted Bryan and Cesaro hit the neutralizer on him. After the match Bryan went after Roode continuing their feud as Cesaro stood in the ring holding the title belt up high. All of a sudden “Cult of Personality” hit the speakers and the crowd erupted. Punk walked out to the entrance area and just stared down Cesaro as the show faded to black. |

The show started and the arena was black. GM Teddy Long appeared on the big screen. He reiterated what the other GMs have said recently in that it was a new era. He said the SMACKdown is no more and tonight the fans are in for a shockwave. All of a sudden lightning effects start going through the arena and the lights come on to see a new theme with lightning-esque sides and a new color scheme of Dark Grey, bright green, and yellow. He announces that even though we have already seen several former SMACKdown roster guys on other shows this week he one upped them already when Edge signed weeks ago, but we will see some more newcomers to SHOCKwave tonight and in the weeks to come.
In the first match of the night we saw Infierno continue his feud with Rey Mysterio and he was able to pick up the win.
In the backstage we see Sami Zayn and returning roster member Evan Bourne talking about how they have decided to form a team and Airstyke was here. Around the corner brothers, Matt and Nick Jackson came out and talked about how they didn’t get their just due the last time they were in WNAW but they were back to prove that they deserved better and challenged the new team to a match.
The Young Bucks defeated Aistryke when Nick Jackson put his feet on the ropes to pick up the cheap win. The crowd boo’d this after cheering both teams during the match.
The Hooligans defeated debuting Shockwave roster members Zema Ion and Zack Ryder in tag action. After the match the Motor City Machine Guns attacked the Hooligans and announced that they were here not only for the upcoming CruiserTag Titles, but the Shockwave tag titles, and the World Tag Titles.
Women’s Champion Tamina defeated Dominique Lee in a non-title match
Big E. Langston defeated Damien Sandow
The Ascension defeated The Awakening after hitting the Fall of Man on Grave.
The Usos defeated The Wyatt Family but were attacked afterward.
Dolph Ziggler hit the Zig Zag on Christian to pick up the win.
Teddy Long came out to the ring to introduce the man who is probably his biggest acquisition in recent trades. He is the Olympic Gold medalist, Kurt Angle. Angle comes to the ring and thanks Teddy Long for the opportunity on Shockwave. He talks about his dreams and he is sure he will make it to the top of Shockwave and WNAW but he isn’t expecting anyone to hand him anything. As he is talking Realeza 2013 hits the speakers and out walks Alberto Del Rio to a chorus of boos. He runs down Angle and his accomplishments and says that he is a true athlete and a MMA fighter and that Angle has no place in the same ring as him. Angle invites him to come to the ring and we will see who the better man is. ADR comes to the ring to berate him more, but the bell rings to his surprise and a ref shows up. Angle takes ADR down with a few suplexes and locks in the ankle lock but ADR taps immediately and then leaves the ring walking and pointing to his head like he has outsmarted Angle, but Angle got the official win in his Shockwave debut.
In the co-main event Gideon Dorn was able to overcome snake eyes in the corner followed by a big boot, leg drop, Last Ride Powerbomb and the Hell’s Gate to come back and hit a suplex tombstone piledriver for the shocking win. After the match the rest of The Awakening came out and triple teamed Undertaker. As the attack went on the camera showed the backstage area and both members of The Ascension were laid out in the back. As the assault continued the arena went dark, “Veil of Fire” hit the speakers and flames came up from the entrance ramp. In the shadows we see a large figure coming to the ring. As the lights come up we see Kane, with a full black mask though, walking to the ring and The Awakening starting to back off a bit to the far side of the ring. Kane walks towards The Awakening and all three men slowly exit the ring and stand ringside. Kane turns around to check on Taker but as taker gets up Kane grabs him by the throat and chokeslams him. Gideon Dorn grabs a microphone and reminded Undertaker that he had a surprise for him. He then introduces the newest member of The Awakening, KANE!!! The arena goes dark as Kane flames come from the corner posts and the 4 men of The Awakening disappear as the lights come back on we only see Taker laying in the middle of the ring.
In the main event, Edge took on current Shockwave champion Randy Orton. Both men had a lot of moves in the match and the match went back and forth, in and out of the ring. At one point Orton tried to hit the RKO but Edge shoved Orton away. Edge went for a spear but Orton sidestepped him and Edge went through the ropes and hit the ringpost with his shoulders. The finish came when Edge hit The Edgucution on Orton for a big win in his debut match on Shockwave. |
