If your interested here is a link to "stratomatic fan forums". There are discussions on all the games they make including hockey so may find some good info there.

But if you enjoy reading and holding the book youll love this they even have classic sets if you like older hockey .
They even have faceoff stats and advanced Gameplay .
Now you will need a table to lay out the cards line by line to do matchups and forechecking strategies .
Geez it was like Christmas when these cards came I even used colored pencils like purple and yellow for the kings and wrote kings player # and a C or A for captains just a blast to play and A#1 stats if you play super advanced and Pm me if you need any help .
You can also find sets on Ebay
I think the feeling you got when new cards came in the mail is a nostaglic feeling that can't be duplicated. I remember that "5-7 business days" meant that you were tearing home after school on the 5th day to check the mail. I even remember the smell of the new cards. Strat Hockey's cards came in a manilla envelope and every team had a rubber band around them. APBA Football cards came in little team manilla envelopes, and Statis Pro baseball cards came in a perforated sheet that had to be seperated. Great times!!

I never took the chance I always ordered a complete set and a new game each year plus we played the crap out of it and game cards wore out .
Dont know about you but my boxes used to come pretty banged up so the game box was a second line of defense
The First one I recieved came on christmas break Friday in 80-81 Nhl set a great year for the Triple Crown Line , well 2 straight weeks of playing and no school , great times for sure !
