You only want play baseball and want to test your baseball skill but hate reading dozen walls of texts then pawafes (power festival) is for you.

You want to enjoy an easy life as a pro baseball player then my life at lowest difficulty is for you. They have a big amount of record waiting to be broken by the players

Sometimes you burn out and don't want to think about baseball (hitting, pitching, player stats) then success success(idk what this mode is called in eng) is for you

And pennant despite being is the only main mode which do not provide you the ability(can export team though) to create player but still have enough depth for an arcade looking baseball game. It is the ultimate playground for all the players and customs teams you have created from other modes. The hard core sport fan who want an sim experience will find this mode serviceable (good for casual sport fans). It is not groundbreaking but not swallow either. (at least better than some Aa sport game like cricket, rugby, and comparable to franchise in the show)
You can control what the cpu roster, training, scouting, trade request or let the cpu do all of this for you. The game have so many historical npb record (who, when those record were broken) And even trophy for your hall of fame player. The player upgrade system is carefully make. When your player broke a mile stone in a season you can make a good for that player (shirt, food...) and the can use it to rise his stats. And like i have said before the ability to export teams after every season make the possibility become endless. You can create a tournament between alls the nippon series winners come from pennant or your koshien winning team from eikan 9. Or pennant with team or custom team from your create players from success, pawafes, eikan 9 or my life.
