Not my sort of vibe but it's awesome to see something "NFL 2K" officially announced and released after all these years. Definitely looking forward to seeing what else they have planned.

Not really a mobile gamer, but my attention was solely focused on all the animations present in the trailer. Here’s hoping at least that’s a precursor to (maybe) something that’ll be released on consoles that is ‘playable.’

Yeah, personally I think this gives me some promise. It leaves me with some concerns though.

First of all, I didn't know what "card games" were until I watched some gameplay of this. Not my cup of tea. MLB Showdown was fun as a kid, but I'm good here.

Secondly, I like that this kind of dropped without an announcement or charge. No real expectation here. I think we're good in assuming this wasn't a three-year build and why they got into bed with the NFL/NFLPA.

Thirdly, I think this truly is a sign of things to come. It lets us know they're alive and working on titles. I never thought they would only release one type, so maybe you'll start to have them get your attention from this. Will there be a release this year? I don't really think so. I think we should start opening our ears again, though.

Lastly, maybe this is where part of the layoffs came from. They finished this title, and perhaps there isn't anything more that they need from this core group that developed it. Not sure. I don't wish layoffs from anybody, but I'd rather it be from folks on a finished product than it be from folks of a project currently being worked on.

As for my one downside, I'm hoping this isn't their only connection with Zynga. Here's to hoping they are still possibly looking into adopting the Euphoria physics engine for real-time tackles and such. Maybe Take-Two purchased it for GTA 6 though, not sure.

Seems like a lot of work on animations and stuff to just end up a mobile card game. Not interested in playing it but the "gameplay" looks like 2k football.

Hopefully there's still a chance at something more than this.

Also I trust Mike Straw. He was dead on accurate about the whole mess with the NASCAR games.

The very easy explanation is that the NBA has nothing to do with this game and instead 2K wanted this game out ahead of the NFL Draft, which starts tomorrow.
