But thanks for the 20 year suggestion. I’m going to give that a try.

If you want to maybe feel more connected to your franchise… take over offseason duties and drafting for the 3 to 5 years before you start playing. That way you’ll have more responsibility for having molded the team versus just inheriting after simulating.

Re: Fictional or Real Life Franchises?

Something I did last year is do a franchise where you control CPU rosters. I then simmed 100 years. I then exported players and put them in my roster file. Their history has years 2123, etc. but as long as you can look past it being in the 2100s, that was a good way to have fictional players with history and not all rookies.

Re: Fictional or Real Life Franchises?

About four days. Wish you could skip the prompts, but you can’t.

You sat there doing all the prompts for 4 DAYS!

I did around 20-25 years ago day. Probably 2 or 3 hours a day. Don’t get me wrong, it was a grind for sure. LOL!

I’m curious why this method is better then simply simming 20 to 25 years then starting ?

It seems like way less work and also accomplishes the same thing … allows you to start with all fictional players who have history.

What am I missing ?

I think it's mostly that the stats will say 2123 instead of 2023 as the last season. So instead of staying 2043 then the season you play saying 2024, the numbers look a bit nicer.
