Madden need an Eras mode like NBA 2K23 has

it's a great idea but it never will happen because

1 Jim Brown the RB sued EA around 2008 which is the main reason the all-time teams stopped

2 to add eras in the NFL let assume u start in 1983 or 1970
well each era is going to be around 1'500 players and any dradt class wouild have to be 350+ players

3 here is what u could name it
70'S Steelers or cowboys 1970-1980
80'S 4gers 1981-1990
90'S Cowboys First haif 1991-1995 Broncos 2ndhaif 1996-1999
one just for 2000
then the brady era 2001-2018
Brady era I 2001-2009
Brady era II 2010-2018

the biggest worry wouild be the pre 1994 teams
as madden did not have full rosters until 1994
if people wouild ok with just a number utill like the brady era

I disagree. Madden should stay far away from eras.

1. The base franchise is severely lacking. I sometimes take it for granted how advanced 2k's franchise offering is compared to Madden. Its ridiculous. Madden needs to deliver a satisfactory modern franchise first, and they are far away from that

2. I have no confidence that the Madden team could deliver this in any satisfactory way. I take no pleasure in saying this but I just don't think the team behind developing Madden is very good

3. The NFL would strip out too much of past eras to make the mode worthwhile. Its great that you can hop in the 80s era NBA and see hard fouls and players chirping at each other. Do you really think the NFL would let Madden include the kind of unsafe and barbaric tackles of years past?

One of the reasons eras works so well in NBA is because of how much of a star driven league it is. The NFL is not the same.

It wouldn't be hard to make completely generic teams.

The roster community would handle the rest.

I think all they would do is let users play individual seasons.

Free agency wasn't around until 1993, the offseason model would be totally shot.
