Yeah, he generally starts slow and starts to pick up around the new year mark, I find.

Yeah, he's making nine and a half, which is far more than I can budget for. Hopefully we can get creative.

NHL IN REVIEW - NOVEMBER Blackhawks, Canucks dominate league leaders, Habs running the show
Montreal Canadiens' goaltender Carey Price has buoyed the league-leading Habs to the top of the league's standings after the first month
NHL Network -- After the first month, we have seen some of the typical teams pull away early, as the Pittsburgh Penguins lead the Metropolitan Division and the Vegas Golden Knights continue their hot start to their existence by pacing the Pacific Division just ahead of the upstart Los Angeles Kings. However, we also see the expected lowly Montreal Canadiens dominate the Atlantic Division, while their long-time rival Toronto Maple Leafs stumble out of the gate.

Surprise Team of the Month: Montreal Canadiens | Okay, it is painfully obvious that this article is essentially a Montreal Canadiens pump-up article but no one could have seen this coming. The Canadiens' offense has seen Mike Hoffman take off lately and Carey Price has returned to form. It will remain to be seen if their start is sustainable but for the month of October, the Canadiens run the East.
Disappointment of The Month: Edmonton Oilers | It was almost the Toronto Maple Leafs, due to the forecast being this finally be the year that they take off, but being two points away from the wild card spot and the Canadiens' taking off the way that they have, we have to give it to the other Canadian team with lofty expectations. Even the Oilers' two-headed monster of Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl have stumbled out of the gates.

Stud of the Month: J.T. Miller - Vancouver Canucks | It would too easy to say the likes of Chicago's Patrick Kane (enjoying a nice resurgence by leading the Blackhawks to a playoff start along with goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury) or Nathan MacKinnon (off to a hot start despite the Avalanche not playing too well to start things off) but the complete game of Canucks' star J.T. Miller is definitely warranting praise. Four goals and eight assists for 12 points to be tied for third in the league is insane.
Definitely didn't help that Erik Karlsson's paper mache body lasted like two games into the season. The Pacific isn't an easy division to play in anymore.
