Season 1 - Team Update- End of Season - Qualifying for Playoffs!

Milwaukee managed to keep up and maintain its playoff dream alive by staying ahead of the Golden Seals throughout the month of March. While they still lost more than they won, they won more than the Golden Seals. With performances from trade deadline acquisition Keifer Sherwood stepping into the top-line and performing above where anyone expected him to alongside waiver-wire acquisition defenseman Markus Niemelainen (78 Ovr, Top-6, 25-year-old) from the Edmonton Oilers.

Their opponent in the Single Elimination Wild-Card is their central division rivals, The Chicago Blackhawks. With the Blackhawks selling at the deadline and having their star player Patrick Kane hurt; Milwaukee could have a chance at an upset. I wouldn't bet money on it considering the Blackhawks finished 45-34-5 over Milwaukee's 27-47-10 record.

Season 1 - Team + League Update- Wild Card Round - Crushing Defeat!

NOTE: I lost the footage and pictures of the game recap.

Milwaukee walked into this game knowing full well that the odds were stacked in front of them. Facing a winner-takes-all matchup against a team with bonafide stars and former Stanley cup champions is sure to put some pressure on the young team.

The game started out strong with some shots on net, but a line change killed the bucks late in the 1st period as Tyler Johnson capitalized to make it 1-0 start. Weak defense, along with a hurt goalie made an easy snap shot from Johnathon Toews go straight in as the 1st period was expiring.

While the team managed to stop all points in the 2nd period, the floodgates opened up as Chicago scored another to start the 3rd. Milwaukee got a tip-in Keifer Sherwood. By the time Milwaukee could score again, it was 6-2. Chicago put up another two, and then the game was over.

With that, the season was over. While they met expectations of attempting to make the playoffs, nobody wanted to see the season end like that. They should keep their heads kept high as they managed to make the playoffs with a lot of players who will never see NHL ice again.

Either way, Chicago is moving on.

Along with Milwaukee, the Hartford Whalers, Utah Stealth, and London Royals, all had their seasons cut short. This means no expansion team will get to play a best-of-series yet.
