Both of these are welcome news. I played a couple of Private matchmaking rounds the last two days and they worked pretty well. I won both of them, but didn't get anything for it. I liked the ranked matchmaking in 2K21, although it wasn't really all that easy to make sense of the point totals. It at least told me what my record was... well, at least in the matches that weren't aborted by my opponent. I'd say that only happened to me maybe 20% of the time so I didn't find it as rampant as others seem to complain about.

Crossplay with a PS5 player is going to be a handicap for Series X/S players. The higher sampling rate of the PS5 controllers lends itself quite well to the analog swing interface. I recognize that going in however, and I say "bring it on".

Thanks for sharing that, I would have missed it. They're bring back ranked matchmaking and adding Crossplay (a path I never thought they'd go down), as a result of reactions from NextMakers and Early Access players? Who knows, maybe there's hope for an option to disable vsync in the future!?

Downloaded the game late last night & mistakenly set analog stick to right & I play left.
Anyone know how to change it as there is not an option on Xbox. Have any Xboxers got the patch yet cause we are still waiting in UK.
I can see a lot I like in the game but it’s not running anywhere near as smooth as it should be on Series X.

I'm getting the standard PS5 disc version on Sunday. Does anyone know if there is a way to immediately download any available patch before I even launch the game for the first time? Or do you have to launch it and play for awhile and then the patch comes in?

Profile Menu Button then Go Into Controls. You should see which stick you are aiming with if it says left just change that to right and it should force the left stick for shots
