Quick update. I switched up the style for this one to try and clean up the in-game pics and get them more related to the write-up. If anyone prefers it the other way let me know. I know sometimes the text isn't as clear in the png format.

Re: The Freshest Show on Turf: A Coaching Dynasty (NCAA 06)

Senior quarterback Jerry Babb has had an efficient year for the Ragin' Cajuns with 11 touchdowns to 3 interceptions. Impact receiver Bill Sampy has been his go to guy in the redzone with 6 receiving touchdowns on the season. Expect the Cajuns to rely on their passing attack this game as their top halfback will be out with a pec injury. The Middle Tennessee defense ranks 3rd in the nation against the pass, but that could largely be attributed to the fact that they’ve faced primarily run heavy offenses to date. Jay Cutler and Vanderbilt were able to move the ball through the air effectively against the Raiders secondary, and they’ll likely be tested again this week against a conference opponent. Keep an eye on the matchups at the line of scrimmage. Starting tackle Jesse Newman will be out for the Cajuns with a true freshman (59 OVR) starting in his place. Freshwater will look to exploit that side of the line to put pressure on Babb early and often.

Impact Players:
  • QB Jerry Babb (SR RS) 6'3" 215 - 84 OVR, 74 SPD, 87 THP, 85 THA
  • WR Bill Sampy (SR RS) 6'1" 175 - 84 OVR, 88 SPD, 88 CTH, 86 JMP
  • CB Michael Adams (JR) 5'8" 170 - 76 OVR, 88 SPD, 82 JMP, 52 TAK

Inactives
:

Middle Tennessee
  • HB Eugene Gross* (85 OVR) - suspension, 4 games
  • FS Jeremiah Weaver (76 OVR) - broken collarbone, season
Louisiana-Lafayette
  • HB Chester Johnson (80 OVR) - torn pectoral, 1 week
  • RT Jesse Newman (76 OVR) - pulled hamstring, 2 weeks
  • RE Anthony Hills (74 OVR) - mild concussion, 1 week

Re: The Freshest Show on Turf: A Coaching Dynasty (NCAA 06)

It's about time we look into the efforts on the recruiting campaign, as the Blue Raiders received their first commitment following Week 8 in Thomas Taylor.

The 4-star free safety is the first signee of the Freshwater era, and a great one at that. With good size and speed, the young coach made it a priority to land the 6'4" prospect from North Atlanta, GA and went virtually 'all-in' to land him. He fills a spot at the much needed safety position with what appear to be the skills to make an early impact.

Of the 12 prospects offered scholarships early, only 5 remain with any interest in Middle Tennessee. Here's how the rest of the board is looking and where the Raiders stand, all are 3-star prospects:
  • WR John Butler (Haleyville, AL) 5'11", 180 - 1st
  • HB Victor Patrick (Bristol, TN) - 6'3", 230 - 1st
  • C John Griffin (North Augusta, SC) 6'6", 285 - 2nd, behind Florida State
  • CB Reggie Taylor (Maryville, TN) 6'5", 180 - 4th, behind Tennessee, Virginia Tech, Georgia
  • SS Mark Cowan (Sarasota, FL) 6'1", 218 - 5th, behind Florida, Miami, Auburn, Georgia

Nice bounceback win over FAU after the tough loss to Vandy. Good to see MTSU land a big recruit afterwards as well, seems like things are starting to move in the right direction and you're building momentum on and off the field.

Nice pickup in Thomas Taylor, hopefully you can get that Victor Patrick, looks like a tank!
