Dynasty House Rules
- The maximum number of recruits I can target in a season is the number of seniors on the team plus three.
- No scouting until a recruit commits to the team.
- If I lose out on a recruit, cannot add another recruit to try to make up for the loss UNLESS it’s a position of need in which case I can then go look for another recruit to add to the board.
- Can only target recruits that are interested in Georgia State. If Georgia State is the top school of interest, I can target them regardless of star level. Otherwise, Georgia State must be in the top three for 5 & 4 star recruits and top five for 3 star recruits. (1 and 2 star recruits has no restriction aside from must be interested in Georgia State.)
- Cannot redshirt any 5 star recruit or JUCO recruit.
- If a player leaves early for the NFL, cannot convince him to stay if he’s projected to go in Round 1, 2, or 3, otherwise I can attempt it. Cannot attempt anyone who wants to transfer to stay and must accept any transfer requests I get.
- While Georgia State is in the Sun Belt Conference (or another non-Power 5 conference), I can schedule ONE FCS school a season, but if Georgia State gets promoted to a Power 5 conference, I cannot schedule anymore FCS schools. On that same note, while Georgia State is in the Sun Belt Conference (or another non-Power 5 conference), I must schedule AT LEAST one Power 5 school a season.

Re: HRNolin96's Georgia State Panthers | A NCAA 14 Dynasty

Georgia State Announces Patrick Cross as First FBS Head Coach

The 2013 college football season will be Georgia State’s fourth season of competition but the first season at the FBS level. Along with the transition to the FBS level, the Panthers had to search for a new head coach to lead them into this new territory. Bill Curry had been the previous head coach for the team the past three seasons, from Georgia State’s inaugural season in 2010 to last season in 2012. Curry decided to retire at the end of the 2012 season, putting up a record of 10-23 over those three seasons. After a coaching search of a couple of months, the Panthers today announced Patrick Cross, head coach for the Central Red Devils in Phenix City, Alabama, as their new head coach and their first at the FBS level.

Patrick Cross becomes one of the youngest head coaches in college football at only 30 years of age.

Like Curry, Cross had been the head coach for the Central Red Devils for three seasons, from 2010 to 2012. Unlike Curry, Cross had a winning record in those three seasons, but the Red Devils weren’t anything special in those three seasons. They weren’t bad, but certainly not good either. Just very average all three seasons. Central was Cross’s first head coaching job as well, whether high school or college. After suffering a concussion in a game during high school, Cross decided he wasn’t cut out for playing football and instead wanted to coach football. After graduating from UAB, Cross got a job on UAB’s coaching staff as an assistant, eventually getting hired as the offensive coordinator and then head coach for the Central Red Devils.

Also, worth noting, the starting quarterback for the Red Devils this past season and this coming season is Patrick’s younger brother, Carson. Carson is currently listed as a 3 star recruit. There’s some theories all ready floating around online that Patrick accepted the Georgia State job to make sure Carson had an easy path to play college football. It’ll be worth keeping an eye on Carson’s recruitment this season and see if the theories are true or will Carson want to make a name for himself elsewhere away from his brother.

Cross, during his introductory press conference today, had this to say about becoming the head coach, “I’m excited for this opportunity. I do think we have a good team here at Georgia State. Of course, there will be some rough patches along the way, but thankfully we have this season as a transitional period so we can work on it and come out swinging starting next season in 2014.” Since the 2013 season is Georgia State’s first in the FBS, it will be considered a transitional season, meaning the Panthers won’t be able to participate in the postseason even if they happen to qualify. Georgia State will be members of the Sun Belt Conference for 2013 and beyond. Cross will be joined with fellow first years coordinators, OC Jeff Jagodzinski and DC Jesse Minter.

Re: HRNolin96's Georgia State Panthers | A NCAA 14 Dynasty

Okay, I got the settings and house rules and the introduction post up, reserved the posts for the yearly records and national champions and heisman winners, I think I'm good on that front.

Completely new to dynasty reporting so bear with me while I figure all this out. Don't have any equipment so all the pictures will be taking using my phone so will be heavy on writing in this reporting.

Also, didn't feel like modding my ps3 nor do I really have the time to do so or figure out any of the mods so this will be base game, no revamped or playoffs. So just think of this as an alternate universe where this era stayed around. Because of this, I decided to go with the basic 2013-14 roster instead of any updated rosters.
