The 6950 is the 560 TI equivalent.

Make a new thread with PC in the title and read some of the threads from earlier last decade. It's funny seeing how we were at technology 8-10 years ago. Someone was bragging about having like a 30gb SATA hard drive.

Re: Official "I want to build a New PC!" Thread

Just saw this thread. And yeah, the 6950 is the ATI equivalent to the 560ti.

I had a AMD 990FX motherboard, 960T Zosma processor (that unlocked to 6 cores, most do) as well as a HD 6950 2GB, and it was a VERY capable computer. Went to a 560ti, and it was right on par w/ the performance, but also had PhysX for the games as well. I built the entire PC for around $600 w/ new case, RAM, everything. Of course that was with rebates as well. That's how PC mfg's get you. Stinkin rebates.

128GB SSD. 5* rating. I'm not gonna build a new PC until at least the end of summer, but thinking about jumping on this for my current one.

Looks like Drive prices are going to continue to be high as well = http://www.computerworld.com/s/artic...h_through_2014

I went ahead and built my new system on Sunday. I went with an i5 2500K, ASRock Z68 mobo, 8GB DDR3 1333, and the 560. So far it's been running great and the multitasking with the extra cores is awesome.

Re: Official "I want to build a New PC!" Thread

With the MS Office I have you can only have it installed on 3 machines. Does that mean you can only use the code 3 times and it dies? Or is there a way to deactivate one of them. I ask because I have used one of them on the HDD I am about to stop using whenever I install this SSD. I have a laptop with Office Starter on it which is fine, but I would like to have it on my desktop too. I would do a new install whenever I build my brand new one and that would be the 3 uses.
