North Ave pretty much splits the city in half so it covers a pretty big area. If you can figure out a cross street, I'll check it out when I get a chance. I don't remember seeing that but most stuff is pretty forgettable when you're used to it. I can tell you there are places like that still on North Ave.

It's all good man, I was just messing with you. Baltimore's not that bad though. The problem with Bmore (and I think it's true with Philly too... the bad's just not as bad) is if you don't know where you're going, you end up in the normal spots... inner harbor, canton, fells point, federal hill. The city's actually got a lot of history and there are a lot of places to go. The Baltimore Museum of Art, Walters Art Gallery, Blacks in Wax Museum and the Reginald Lewis Museum are all well worth a road trip. Poe's house, Babe Ruth Muesum, etc, etc. There are also a few nice places to head out too and some great food (I can't eat crabs anywhere else besides Annapolis). You just really can't hit Bmore blind. And a few wrong turns away from the downtown area and you'll run into a bad area. Not all that different than DC or Philly.

But I agree, I wouldn't focus an East Coast trip on Baltimore.

Here's where I have to disagree 100%. I don't have a single good thing to say about any strip club in B'more. Scores is the best of the mutant infested bunch. Hustler's a close second, but it's almost embarrassing how bad most of the girls are.

Re: Ok im late I know The Wire

It was in a group of photos titled "Oliver St. Station" or something like that but it also said North Ave. I can't see any Oliver St. on Yahoo Maps (just a neighborhood), but maybe that'll help. It'd be cool if they left it there, since it was just a set piece for the show.

I don't think the series was ever nominated for a single Emmy it's entire run, while the Sopranos had lots of praise (and awards) heaped on it despite the similar content of each. Fortunately The Wire received a ton of critical acclaim, but it's extremely unfortunate it was never recognized for the masterpiece it is. I didn't start watching until late in season 2 but have been uncontrollably hooked ever since. The Corner is also great - riveting and heartbreaking at the same time

Re: Ok im late I know The Wire

definitely one of the very best shows of all time. They set the bar very high imo.

anyone who likes crime dramas will love this show if they give it some time to develop. Once it does develop, it will hook you like a good novel.

I'm also very late to the "party" and I'm very addicted already, just through the first few episodes in season 1.
