The Leftovers (season 2) HBO

We had some pretty good discussion going in the season one. I figured that warranted another thread for season two.

Two episodes in already, the first episode threw me for a loop. The new family they focused on in the beginning of that first episode in Miracle was a total spin to me in the storyline.

It's remains compelling and I'm already sucked into this season.

Not sure how much interest there still is for this show or if the guys that were into season one are still watching.

Either way feel free to discuss!

Loved how the second episode revisited all the loose ends from S1. Basically they flipped viewer expectations by waiting till episode 2 to explain the soft reboot.

Amazing second episode, the drama is surreal at this point.

LOVED episode 1. Fantastic!
Really liked Ep2 as well. Have ep3 DVR'd so I'll have to watch this week.

This series has really grown on me. Great acting, stories, direction... typical HBO quality production.

Don't know why exactly (maybe the compelling drama/storytelling?), but this might be my favorite show out right now.

Totally agree.
Game of Thrones and Ray Donovan are my favourite shows overall, but for what's on TV right now, The Leftovers is #1.
It's definitely in my top 5 overall.

Like you said, I can't put my finger on why, I just know I really enjoy this show.

Yeah episode 3 really sealed the deal for me on the greatness on the show. The only thing was that...

Not sure what that was between Liv Tyler and Wayne 2.0 in the truck.

I do enjoy how episode two squashed sooo many loose ends that could have dragged out for the entire season. So glad we can all just move forward onto new things.
