Oh, and for the record grappling stats are indeed having too big an effect.

I said this last year. Ground stats mean wayyyyyy too much. I tried arguing that player skill should.mean more than which fighter i choose but according to the critics "thats not realisitc"

8/10 players in the top 10 are grapplers and 4 of them have GSP as their favourite fighter. Most of them can't strike for ****.

Most of the top 100 are grapplers in general now too. And there's only more and more of them in there as time goes on.

I sincerely hope this is being looked at because it's really taking the fun out of the game. I've gotten to the point where I don't even try blocking certain transitions based on seeing them on screen because I know it won't let me deny them.
I feel like we see eye to eye on many of these issues. You also said in another comment that grappling stats have been an issue for ages (before UFC 3), and I COMPLETELY agree with you.

When a dominant grapple-type player (GSP) is advancing positions on top of me (half guard to side control or half guard to full mount), it cannot be DENIED every time even when I have pressed the buttons on time.

I'll lose matches in the stand up and it's fair game, but when I'm being taken down at will, unable to defend top transitions and unable to advance my own positions from bottom because of denials even when I mix in strikes, pause or fake a transition or time a reversal I am still being DENIED. I can't help but feel HOPELESS in these situations, and this is against the Khabib's, GSP's, Romero's, Cormier's, and Cain's of ranked. I swear I'm doing everything I have to to survive! I don't feel threatening at all from the bottom even with a black belt fighter. The transition meter from bottom against a GSP player is SUPER SLOW, their window to deny is much larger because of that if I'm not mistaken, making it very easy to deny transitions and submission attempts and just eventually finish me with ground and pound. I lose ALL THE TIME against these top leader board GSP guys. With even a little bit of lag they are truly unstoppable.

You have no idea what's coming.

Don't lose hope when you're this close.
