As I said earlier, there was a different producer for 2005. The 2004 guy was bought back in 2006. That's why the series went back to kicking @ss and taking names. And has been since.

Anyone here played 2004 on Gamecube? Was it just as good?

I used to play on XBOX but I don't have that system anymore. Since I plan on getting a Wii in the near future I thought I'd get the Gamecube version to play on the Wii.

I have 2003 for the GC. Pretty much the same game with a slight drop in graphics crispness. I did struggle a bit with the controls (being used to the XBOX), but that is moot if you will be using the Wii.

Actually i think you can only play Gamecube games with a Gamecube controller on the Wii so it may not be as moot as you thought. I remember trying an NHL game in a store on the Gamecube and thinking that teh controller was not well-designed from a sports game perspective. Oh well.

When it first came out, '04 was easily my favorite football game I've ever played. I believe I played 16 years in my UConn dynasty and another 5-6 with Penn State. No game has gotten that much burn until '07, which was a very solid and fun game.
