Two game suspension is pathetic.

Someone needs to keep him away from technology.

It's stuff like this that makes me glad Pryor went to tOSU and not Michigan.

I agree. I was def one of those who wanted him at Michigan. It's at a point where even reasonable hOSU fans have their heads in their palms when he speaks.

In all honesty, I don't understand why people have such a problem with this.
It isn't the Congressional Medal of Honor. It is a trophy of sorts and there is no law against selling it (unless you are an indentured servant such as an NCAA Athlete).

Bottom line is that it was only a matter of time before Ohio State got caught up in what has become a NATIONAL cesspool of major college sports.

Personally, I am surprised it took this long... Look at John Cooper - his recruiting and integrity was suspect at best.

I say this as an Alum of The Ohio State University. I bleed scarlet and gray but I won't deny something needs to be done that involves major scholarship losses for ANY team from here on out, starting with Ohio State.

Re: Report says that Tressel knew of NCAA violations in April

You guys do know that the 2 game suspension and the 250k fine was self imposed by the University right? The NCAA isnt through with this....not by a long shot.

The Ohio State University will pay for their mistakes. I just hope it doesnt have to do with post season bans or lack of schollies. Wouldnt be surprised if it were though.

I live in Memphis, TN.....and for the first time, i feel a little embarrased to have "The Ohio State University across my back window.

Ohio State is more than a football or basketball team.

One of the premier cancer treatment centers in the United States and perhaps, the world... The James. The list goes on and on... As many people could say for their own college or university. I am sure USC, Texas, Florida, etc. have some sort of academic program they are proud of and that SHOULD be the way we look at colleges... but it isn't and never will be.

Personally, the filth that is college athletics really needs to be torn up by the roots and smashed against a wall.

It has become a profit-driven doppelganger of what it supposedly used to be. Take away the scholarships and free education for good athletes with no brains and start giving free education to great students who happen to be decent athletes.

Say what you want about THAT pipe dream, but this is a long time coming for EVERY SINGLE MAJOR PROGRAM.
