Yeah, bowl season used to be kind of special.

-Going back 20 years, there were like 25 bowl games versus the 40+ that we have now. So, it was a little more special.

-The games kind of felt important. There wasn't this stigma that if you're not in championship game then the game is meaningless, resulting in many kids opting out. Crazy how much has changed with the culture of college football in just 20 years.

Now I can hardly be bothered with bowl games unless it's the championship game or UGA is playing.

Tell that to the kids playing.

I watched the QB for WKU in tears, drop down to his knees after their comeback win.

Looking at the play (even with the blowouts) - the chippiness, trash talking, excitement after big plays, etc., it's just like the regular season, even if the game doesn't mean anything to most.

I may not have time anymore to watch all the games, but I will try, because even with transfers, opt outs, coaching changes, etc., these players still care.

Brawl during the post-game of the 68 Ventures Bowl between Eastern Michigan and South Alabama. Don't know if they are going to do the trophy presentation.

Edit: They did the trophy presentation, but I'm sure ESPN is going to edit out the first 15 minutes of the post-game VOD.

Joe Milton opting out of the Citrus Bowl. So Nico gets to make his first collegiate start.

Re: 2023 Bowl Games Discussion

They are saying like 20 players have opted out for FSU. Naturally GA hasn't had anyone opt out. Lol. Should be a good game

Marvin Harrison Jr is still undecided if he's going to play or not. Like damn. That's cutting it close in my opinion.
