Transitive property has proven to not hold true in sports, especially college sports where these teams are inconsistent as can be.

What does Utah losing to UF in week 1 tell us about either team or conference now that we are at the end of the year? Not much really. Does Utah losing that game nullify how much that team has improved on the year? Does it take away Florida looking average as can be this year? Does that game mean Vanderbilt is better than Utah? I know deep down you know these answers.

If we're using transitive property, UGA beat GT 37-14 while Miami beat them 35-14. I guess using the logic you were arguing for, that means Miami and UGA are pretty similar quality teams?

And I kinda wonder if that didn't factor in. If they end up losing and he quotes that it was in overtime when he inevitably has to lobby, then we'll know.

Wow does KST really want to play defense first against Duggan. That's a bold strategy.

Until Houston this year, I can't ever remember anyone picking offense first.

You can make the argument transitive property doesn't hold true in college football all you want but it has since the BCS era. Like it or not it's a fact of the sport.

I think the smart play for him would just to say, we'll let what we did on the field all season speak for itself and leave it at that. No lobbying needed IMO.

Sure, no point in going back and forth about it if this is how it will transpire.
