Re: A Fictional History of Baseball - 1871 - Present (OOTP 17)
Baybirds and Generals Fold Citing Financial Troubles The National Association could be in trouble, as two of the league's 8 teams announced they would be folding ahead of the 1875 season. Both the Baltimore Baybirds and Washington Generals were unable to make the franchise a financial success, causing them to fold effective immediately. The National Association plans to play the 1875 season with six teams, and will evaluate strategic options after the 1875 season. |
