Being Fair

I do not know if it is my imagination or someone at 2K actually reads my ramblings here. There seem to be 1-2 fewer cut-scenes per half, and the controller responds sooner when I input “I don't want to see this cutscene”. I continue playing zero cut-scene setting in MyLeague, so it is a slight improvement, but technically still a misnomer robbing me of the player-only and coach-only atmosphere.

We are familiar with the game-loading montage. In a word: Brilliant! Gorgeous! Okay, that is two, but the montage does get me pumped for video game basketball... hell, it would get me pumped for pickup basketball

I've just re-fired-up a game between Orlando (me) and Miami: Great intra-state rivalry interrupted by life (happens sometimes) :-D

In seventh grade I tried out for my middle school varsity basketball team. It was intimidating, and early on I learned about hustle and hardwork as a means of making any team. I'd use that lesson seven years later to walk-on to the varsity team at UNC-Charlotte.

MyLeague: "No cut-scenes" doesn't mean a f***ing thing

I am a basketball junky: I want pure, uncut, ball-out, ball-don't-lie, unadulterated basketball 24-7.

I set MyLeague for "no cut-scenes" and I still get zooms of guys looking at the jumbotron; coaches spasming; looking into the face of the man who touched it last even though I just saw the play happen.

This is so infuriating because I'm a "get it right" player: In reality when I make a mistake I "play through" as Rick Pitino says. I don't stop to show how mad I feel ... Read More

This console generation and face-zooms

Once again, I cannot complete a 48-minute game of NBA 2K17: MyLeague is inundated with face-zooms. Like NBA 2K16, the zooms are meaningless; the player or coach is usually doing nothing.

I am so tired of trying to get a basketball fix using this watered-down, casual-fan crap.

I don't care about faces or facial expression; if I did I'd pause the game and zoom on a face in instant replay like I did with my Xbox 360.

MyLeague games drag-on seemingly forever.

What is worse than a loading screen? Spending more than 10% of your playtime watching the game play itself in MyLeague.
