TIGERS SWEEP NATIONALS
Game one went the Tiger's way, 8-2. Matt Vierling (3) homered, and drove in two in the win. Tarik Skubal (13-0) allowed two runs in seven innings, to earn the win.
The Tigers walked off the Nationals in game two, 3-2. Kyle Dutcher (25) homered in the bottom of the ninth, to send the fans home happy. Dutcher had two RBI in the game.
The Tigers slugged their way past the Nationals in game three, 13-4. Spencer Torkelson (22) homered twice, and drove in four. Mark Canha (10), Riley Greene (12) and Kyle Dutcher (26) also homered. Canha had three RBI.
The Tigers now head out on a six game road trip, with three in Houston, followed by three in Atlanta against the Braves.

TIGERS SWEEP BREWERS
Detroit won game one, 5-3. Jake Rogers (9) homered and drove in two. Kerry Carpenter (8) also homered for the Tigers. Jack Flaherty was outstanding, going seven innings, allowing just one run on two hits, with four strikeouts. Alex Lange earned his 25th save.
Detroit won game two, 5-1. Gio Urshela hit his first home run of the season, and drove in two. Matt Vierling (2) and Javier Baez (14) also homered. Matt Manning (8-2) allowed a run on eight hits in six and two thirds innings to pick up the win.
Detroit completed the sweep of the Brewers with an 802 win on Sunday. Javier Baez (15) homered, and drove in four. Jose Agua (9), Kyle Dutcher (24), and Spencer Torkelson (20) also hit home runs for the Tigers. Casey Mize (7-3) allowed two runs on four hits in six and a third innings, to earn the win. Shelby Miller pitched the final inning and a third, to earn his first save of the season.
The Tigers have an off day on Monday, then host the Washington Nationals (21-44) for a three game series, beginning on Tuesday evening.

TIGERS WIN TWO OF THREE AT RANGERS
The Tigers won game one, 5-4. Riley Greene (10) and Javier Baez (12) homered for the Tigers. Kyle Dutcher went hitless, ending his hitting streak at a MLB record 59 games. Casey Mize (6-3) allowed three runs in six innings, earning the win.
Tarik Skubal (12-0) allowed just three hits in seven and a third innings, as the Tigers beat the Rangers 2-0. Skubal walked one, and struck out eleven. Skubal earned his league leading 12th win of the season. Riley Greene (11) and Kyle Dutcher (23) hit a solo home run each.
Josh Jung hit a two run home run in the bottom of the ninth, as the Rangers took game three 6-5. Kerry Carpenter (7) hit a grand slam, and Javier Baez (13) also homered for the Tigers. Alex Lange (0-1) took the loss. It was Lange's first blown save of the season.
The Tigers have an off day on Thursday. They then are back home, hosting the Milwaukee Brewers (28-35) for a three game series. Following another off day on Monday, they will host the Washington Nationals.

TIGERS SPLIT SERIES WITH RED SOX
Jose Agua (8) homered and drove in four, leading the Tigers to a 4-1 win over the Red Sox. Tarik Skubal (11-0) allowed one run in six and two thirds innings, to pick up the win. Kyle Dutcher went 2-3 to tie Joe Dimaggio's MLB Hit Streak record at 56.
Javier Baez (11) homered, and drove in two, leading the Tigers to a 6-4 win over the Red Sox. Jose Agua added a pair of RBI. Kenta Maeda (7-2) picked up the win with five and two thirds innings allowing four runs. Kyle Dutcher went 3-5, breaking the Hitting streak record. Dutcher has hit in 57 straight games.
The Red Sox scored twice in the bottom of the eighth, to beat the Tigers 5-4. Detroit got home runs from Riley Greene (9), and Kyle Dutcher (22). Greene had a pair of RBI. Dutcher extended his MLB record hitting streak to 58 games. Beau Brieske (2-1) took the loss in relief.
The Tigers lost consecutive games for the first time all season, dropping the series finale 5-3 to the Red Sox. Andy Ibanez (4) homered and drove in two in the loss. Matt Manning (7-2) took the loss. Kyle Dutcher went 1-4 to extend his record hitting streak to 59 games.
The Tigers now travel to Texas, for a three game series against the Rangers (32-27). The Rangers are currently third in the A.L. West, 2.5 games behind the Astros.
