TIGERS SPLIT SERIES WITH RED SOX
Jose Agua (8) homered and drove in four, leading the Tigers to a 4-1 win over the Red Sox. Tarik Skubal (11-0) allowed one run in six and two thirds innings, to pick up the win. Kyle Dutcher went 2-3 to tie Joe Dimaggio's MLB Hit Streak record at 56.
Javier Baez (11) homered, and drove in two, leading the Tigers to a 6-4 win over the Red Sox. Jose Agua added a pair of RBI. Kenta Maeda (7-2) picked up the win with five and two thirds innings allowing four runs. Kyle Dutcher went 3-5, breaking the Hitting streak record. Dutcher has hit in 57 straight games.
The Red Sox scored twice in the bottom of the eighth, to beat the Tigers 5-4. Detroit got home runs from Riley Greene (9), and Kyle Dutcher (22). Greene had a pair of RBI. Dutcher extended his MLB record hitting streak to 58 games. Beau Brieske (2-1) took the loss in relief.
The Tigers lost consecutive games for the first time all season, dropping the series finale 5-3 to the Red Sox. Andy Ibanez (4) homered and drove in two in the loss. Matt Manning (7-2) took the loss. Kyle Dutcher went 1-4 to extend his record hitting streak to 59 games.
The Tigers now travel to Texas, for a three game series against the Rangers (32-27). The Rangers are currently third in the A.L. West, 2.5 games behind the Astros.
