I guess my argument could be that it's the same World Heavyweight Title that got joined with the WWE Title.

Frank Gotch isn't the answer.
Gotch beat Hackenschmidt. After hiring a guy to injure Hackenschmidt in a training session, oiling himself up and using fouls.
