Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread

Kronik was a pretty popular team in dying WCW for whatever that's worth but maybe it was just fans who remembered Crush and Adam Bomb.

There were fans who had a KRONIC sign (as in a group of 6 people each with a letter) almost front row, so the group itself did seem to be liked in a way (I do wonder how those fans knew they'd be showing up, either they're plants or there were internet confirmations of it).

It is kind of strange that Kronik would have that "big" of fans or WWE would even bother having plants in the crowd.

IIRC they were demoted to a developmental territory after the match but they were like 40 and been in the business for years, so they just quit as they weren't doing that.

The whole thing was a flop, I just found it weird how they got a decent pop and had signs in the crowd for their debut when they weren't anything notable.

At least when DDP debuted, he got a huge pop because of his past work, though that promo and stalker stuff killed any hype he ever had.

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread

Watching some 1991 WCW. A couple of things:

Matt Bourne as Big Josh is an amazingly bad fit as a pure babyface. The body language and look just screams heel.

I will put Madusa from this era (as a member of the Dangerous Alliance) up there as one of the all time badass and hot women in wrestling. WWF bringing her in a few years later to be a super boring babyface was such a waste. She could have been ahead of her time if they had brought her in to play something resembling her real life personality. But they were only pretending to care about women's wrestling back then, so. Hell they could have just used her as a valet and she would have been money too.

The segment with her and Heyman at Halloween Havoc 92 was gold

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread

Agreed. Matt Bourne just by his nature should never be a babyface. Evil Doink was great.

Evil Doink, serial killer, etc. They made Barry Windham "The Stalker," but Bourne would have been good at that one too.
