They could get one of their beer sponsors and have wrestlers drinking a cold one during the press conference.

Although Jey must have been taking shots.

Re: WWE Fastlane 10/7/23

Triple H said Fastlane was the highest grossing event WWE has ever done in Indianapolis. I know it seems they do this every month now but again I think it speaks volumes to how good a Wrestlemania would do in Indianapolis.

I don't think WWE has Cena surprising everyone at MITB and asking about a UK Wrestlemania, or Pat show up and ask the fans about a Wrestlemania in Indianapolis if WWE isn't already lining something up in those market when it comes to Wrestlemania.

I still feel like those are marketing tactics.

He's said that WM is now like the Olympics in the sense that cities will be "bidding/pitching" to get WM in their city.

This could all be WWE getting proof from the fans of those market themselves to show anyone in charge in those cities of hosting major events as to why they should throw their name in the running for WM.

Im sure lots of the "highest grossing ___" stuff is due to inflation. Obviously ticket prices are higher now than a WM from 1992 even if they had way more fans then.

Despite that, it's great to see such good numbers from WWE and AEW in 2023. Sure, the MNW was the biggest in a mainstream sense for wrestling ever and had insane TV numbers and great shows, but from a business perspective, how can you argue that this era is probably the best?

Jey definitely felt like he took more than shots.
