2023 WWE Draft

Our first draft since 2021, and first spring draft in 4 years.

No date announced yet, but based on Backlash and the drafts usually starting on Fridays, I'd guess May 12th-15th is when we have it.

First draft of the alleged post Vince in creative era.

I don't even have anyone specific I want on a certain brand, I just hope they don't break up any teams (still the worst logic ever when they split up new day, because it made sense some executive would want Kofi and woods but not E when they all literally would've taken up the same draft slot).

Despite that, I could see them splitting up street Profits this way (no need for Ford/Dawkins to turn on each other, we could just see them go their separate ways like we saw with the dudleys, APA etc.)

NXT talent wise I definitely see Bron being drafted. I could see Pretty Deadly, Creeds, Zoey, Indi, Dijak and others drafted.

Re: 2023 WWE Draft

Date confirmed for April 28th SD and May 1st Raw.

Looks like they want the draft before Backlash, so right after Backlash is when the draft takes effect (assuming nobody randomly shows up on the other show rendering this whole draft pointless like we see every year eventually)

Who is doing the drafting, isn’t Pearce the authority figure on both shows?

I assume they'll do USA/Fox again.

This is one reason I wouldn't mind the producers being in the same role as Pearce.

Instead of JUST Pearce being the authority figure, go back to what they briefly did when it was Pearce, Buck and I think others.

Literally any producer/backstage worker could take charge at any moment. So it's not a specific sole authority figure, it's any higher ranking wwe official.

Could be Pearce, Jordan, Hayes, Kidd, Molly, or anyone else like that.

Re: 2023 WWE Draft

I hope that backstage segment wasn't a sign of things to come. Gablewas lobbying to Pearce to draft him and Otis together regardless if it's Raw or SD.

So they're really going with Pearce as the only authority figure doing anything on any show? The entire WWE is just his universe mode.

Re: 2023 WWE Draft

So when Reigns goes #1, who goes #2?

Part of me wants to see the Usos go 2nd and Reigns snaps and forces a trade to bring the Usos to the same show as Reigns.

So if we do see an Usos/Reigns split, they could even use this as part of it. Reigns is the one responsible for the Usos being his downfall, because he brought them back on the same show as him, and proved how much he actually needs them.

Re: 2023 WWE Draft

WWE reveals draft list.

Interesting notes are that The Bloodline are together...but not the Bloodline you're thinking.

Reigns and Solo, billed as the bloodline, count as a single pick. Jimmy and Jey, billed as the Usos (but not the bloodline) count as a single pick.

So all 4 can't be drafted together? Meanwhile you have 5 members of LWO together and all of the oc (even Mia Yim) as single picks.

And Judgment Day doesn't include Rhea?

They're setting up for some splits simply because of the draft aren't they?
