Re: AEW All Out (9/4/22)

I’ve been nothing but optimistic, overly positive-minded with AEW to this point, but holy hell is everything sloppy right now. I watched the overwhelming majority of the event and while there was great wrestling on display, the overall feeling of lack of direction just couldn’t be ignored. I want this to do well and go well but man, someone has got to get control of the place that isn’t under the influence of some controlled substance. It’s just bizarre to me how much things seem to be out of any kind of control.

There were so many spots that could have really made for great memories to be had, but everything just seems so rushed as if there’s someone screaming “don’t stop keep going” backstage while high on stimulants and just refusing to let the momentum slow enough for the viewers to enjoy what they’re watching for a moment.

It could be just how much they’re trying to pack into “one” event with this layout. It just all seems so rushed, to the point where great wrestling is not being stopped and admired like it really should be. I just get the sense that management is overwhelmed right now. Perhaps if a roster/brand split between AEW and ROH took place and allowed proper spacing for segments, that would help. I understand the money investment that Khan has and his wanting to manage it all himself, but at some point, doing too much is doing the whole investment an injustice.

I’m probably misspeaking or off, but just making assessments as I see them.

So, CM Punk had to be a work, right?

Because now the reports is that The Bucks, Omega, and Hangman want out. There is no way, right?

I’m not even invested in AEW but holy hell these reports of backstage drama are beyond exhausting. CM Punk just seems to be a huge cancer and they should just let him go

We'll look back on these few years when WWE had a real alternative and wonder when it will happen again lol. Between the leaks, talent being upset, everything is falling apart for TK. If this is real... imagine Hunter bringing in The Elite after AEW is no more. It would be crazy.

What if Hunter gets his shot at an invasion angle

Re: AEW All Out (9/4/22)

It's apparent that the talent meeting had absolutely zero effect on the situation.

It's going to be interesting to see how this is navigated. It's rumored that the Bucks and Omega were threatening to walk out after an altercation between the Bucks and Punk (a security guard went sprinting out of the scrum a few minutes after Punk left).

Is it a work? There's a part of me that says yes. Then there's a part of me that thinks TK's company is blowing up in his face because he wants to be everyone's friend.

I did like the anecdote that Punk was wearing Danhausen's boots and he owes him more money now.
