Pennant Race

I started trying to play pennant race for the first time yesterday. Today, as well as yesterday, no opponent is found. I've selected my team, etc. When I click "find game"...bottom right of the screen says "finding game" but it is only for half a second or so and goes back to standard "online." Am I doing something wrong or is no one playing this mode?

I did notice a message about the current season is getting ready to end in a few hours. Should you be able to jump into a pennant race game at any point, or is it too late in the "season" for a new team to play?

You can jump in at any time. In the last few hours, it can get weird. As people jockey for positions, it sometimes it's better to stop. Also, the guys playing are mostly at the bottom so you can sometimes get a good run of games against guys that a struggling and anxiously trying to play a ton of games and make up wins. But overall, people tend to wait for the next PR to start.

The game does a nice job of matchmaking. The longer it takes, the more likely you will play someone with a significantly higher or lower Ego.

Thanks for the info. Tried a few more times today but can't get matched up.

Is it normal for it to search for an opponent for less than a second? I've got good wifi and am definitely online. The way it only looks for a split second makes me wonder if it's not working right on my console.

Not sure why it's stopping the search. I just hit find game and wait around 3min or so usually. Sometimes it can take up to 5min or slightly longer. But never does it time out and stop searching for me. That's pretty odd if that's happening. No idea why it would.

I saw on Reddit that quite a few people are experiencing what I am. Appears to be a glitch...hopefully fixed soon.

So this ended up being an issue with linked accounts on EA.com. In my case there were 2 accounts linked with no way to unlink. I contacted EA and they were able to delete the old, unused account. Might be something to check if anyone else runs into this issue.
