Suggestion for the Site

An @ feature makes me a little nervous with the way some people like to troll. I could also see devs being @'ed to death, as well. I think an @ feature would be cool, but I'd like to see some tools (obviously and on/off notification and possibility a way to block seeing @'s from specific people) come along with it.

Also, I agree with Matrix in that I wouldn't want to threads with people just @'ing people over and over.

I know not everyone uses it but I believe it's a feature that can be turned on in talkpatalk. Someone did an @kehlis once and I got notified. I was kind of surprised. It has only happened once though and I find their notifications to be spotty.

If only....About the only time I don't use Real Time is around the time some big release comes out, for the exact reason you describe.

I would definitely agree with this as I honestly feel there is a big "popularity contest" aspect on the site already which would be even more pronounced with upvote/downvotes. I have said for awhile that good posts don't get likes, popular posts get likes, and sometimes there is a difference.

Why I care? That is a question I can't answer. I shouldn't care because it shouldn't matter to me at all but I guess I have some inferiority deal that makes me take notice of stuff like that.
