Just a question I've always wondered since joining:
Why aren't we allowed to have images in our signatures?

I've seen people come back from bannings but it's on a case by case basis and its pretty rare from what I've seen.

Because they are INCREDIBLY annoying when scrolling through threads.

Okay, that makes sense. I was just asking out of curiosity, because I am involved in many other sites where images are allowed. Just wanted to know why the policy is different here. Thanks.

Couldn't there just be an option in User CP to turn off sigs or sig images?

I don't have a problem with how it is now, it's just weird when I compare it with the other sports forum I post on. They allow images in sigs but not in posts, I always though that was strange, especially how OS is totally the opposite. The other site claims bandwidth as a reason, too

I think this is a very dangerous clause. I'm sure mods are thoroughly screened somehow before being chosen, yet they are still human. If the person who's supposed to keep everyone else in line doesn't have to justify their ruling, issues can occur.

Lack of transparency never works IMO.
