Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

Teed it on Monday when it was 60° at my buddy's club. Shot 82 and won some money in a six man skins/wolf game, that was so convoluted that I just told the guy running it to just tell me what I won or...

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

I played better on Old Mac two years ago than I did this time. But I actually think it's the second hardest on the complex. The bunkering, the length. You can spray it a little bit, but it's...

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

That's impressive. The Ghost Tree is a beauty. It has cables holding it up now after some strong winds last year. Truly is one of the best target sight lines on any golf hole.

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

I played Sand Valley the first year it was open, and just 15 or 16 holes on Mammoth before it fully opened, so I haven't done the whole stay and play there yet. But good call starting with the short...

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

Speaking of. Just made it back tonight from the pilgrimage to the Pacific Northwest. Two years ago we had incredible weather, but this time around we got the full elements of Bandon.

We got in...

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

Alright we’ve made it. Last golf trip of the year. We went north again. This time up to Forest Dunes. My favorite public course in the state of Michigan. An absolute must of a trip to make. It’s the...

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

The fall run continues. This time we headed south to Akron, Ohio.

Love the Firestone complex. Very cool in its own way. Really enjoy the differences between all three courses.

The first round...

The OS Golfer's Thread!

Just got back from my pilgrimage up north. This time we played Arcadia Bluffs and their newer South course. Second time playing the Bluffs. I have a controversial take that it’s wildly overhyped...

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

I continued on my fall tour of golf this week. Just got home from a week back home in Wisconsin. We played some nice courses. I started with my home course I grew up on, and finished with the club I...

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

The day I win the lottery, I'll be a member there, and you'll be high up on the list to bring out there. For now I just have to take advantage of work trips.

To be honest, you don't...

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

So if you like the grip, then don't worry about that.

1" is 10-12g of weight needed back.

In theory cutting down the shaft and not adding weight would make it feel less head heavy. So...

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

You have a few options here. Cutting 1/2" will reduce swingweight by 2-3 points. About 2 grams will move it one swingweight.

First, if you notice no difference, you can leave it as is. I'll...

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

Just got home from another pilgrimage to Pennsylvania this year. Apologies Kehlis.

Man was Oakmont pure. They have made some crazy changes to the courses. It’s going to be a wild US Open in 2025....

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

Nooooo. Feel good about that round. It's all relative anyways. Unless you were completely overpowering the course from that distance, enjoy it. Golf is first and foremost meant to be fun. I normally...

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

Keep in mind that static measurements are just a starting point. Actually results when you hit a ball and turf interaction are more so going to dictate what your lie angle needs to be.

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

The game has been in a real good place. Now that golf season is fully here I'm starting to get into the swing of things. Putter has been out to an outrageously hot start. Paradym driver is just...

Re: The OS Golfer's Thread!

Sheep Ranch might be the most fun course on the complex. Nice little walk. Easiest on the property. A great track for the afternoon of a 36 hole day for the groups who do that. Great views on it. One...
