Even if Vince legitimately wanted to put Nitro on Monday nights, I'm not sure how he'd make it happen. He'd have to pitch the network (USA?) the concept of switching his highest-rated cable program...

The other problem was that (a) WCW had run the Nitro brand into the ground over the past year, driving away viewers by the boatload; and (b) WWF didn't have any of WCW's top talent under contract at...

Well, lack of star power was at least part of the reason. No doubt fans would have been sold on a WCW Invasion if Bischoff, Goldberg, Sting, Hogan, Hall and Nash were part of the original angle. But...
