They should also have a lot of experience losing ha.

No matter what happens their footballing English Exceptionalism always rises to the surface.

I love that it was Mancini that orchestrated England's loss (not to take too much credit away from Southgate), as I always felt he was predictably looked down upon by English press especially during his time at Man City.

I’ve always looked at the first spot as the least pressure. Every pk situation requires a goalkeeper save regardless of anything. You miss first and yes it does step up things but there still are four more rounds after so it’s not exactly the same as missing later on. You still walk away after a first miss assuming your keeper will get you one back eventually. Just my opinion though.

Re: EURO 2020

Watched that at a pub where a bunch of kids from the local team were watching. Team is made up of college players from across the country. Most of them from England, Ireland, N Ireland, with some from places like S Africa and Mexico.

So there were about five English guys, and slightly fewer in the team with anyone-but-England interests. Listening to them during the match was high comedy. One of the Irish guys celebrated Italy's goal as if Ireland had just won the World Cup.

Too bad I left before ET because I'm sure the scenes during the shootout were hilarious.

Actually had a pretty good turnout. Must have been around 50 in there watching.

That save by Pickford on Jorginho was absolutely insane.

I can't post here but had everyone seen these women celebrating the win in Italy?
