Re: Official Spurs Thread

Letting Caulker go was probably a mistake but you guys certainly don't have **** CBs. Up until AVB lost the dressing room you had one of the best defenses in the league. At most you guys only need a solid backup CB.

Just wait and see, Spurs defense will be hard to score on with Poch as a coach.

I admit I'm still a novice soccer viewer, but it seemed like every game (particularly towards the end of the season), there was some horrible defensive gaffe giving up a goal. Usually by Dawson or Kaboul.

Re: Official Spurs Thread

Dawson is kind of past it a little. Kaboul used to be fantastic, not sure what happened to him but part of it was definitely the injury.

Also have to factor in general team morale in the second half of the season combined with having Tactics Tim as a coach.

Spur news for today:

Deal for Ben Davies reported as done, Swansea is waiting for Spurs to release statement. Davies was in video of team training in Toronto.

Also agree to deal with Michael Vorm from Swansea City.

Spurs preparing to meet Greizmanns 25m release clause, Spurs also looking at Memphis Depay if they miss out on Greizmann. Chelsea and Monaco also in the bidding. (source: the telegraph)

Re: Official Spurs Thread

good to see a Spurs thread here. I've been a Spurs fan since 93' and you can blame that on some English friends who were fanatic Spurs fans and me being an impressionable youth

and yes it takes a thick skin to be a Spurs fan, the team is never good enough to be in the top four consistently or bad enough to be in the bottom ten.

what sums up being a Spurs fan is the last two times the Spurs had a legit shot at the CL, one was ruined by food poisoning before the last match and cost the squad and when they did get top four they got knocked out by Chelsea winning the CL, so "Oh Spurs" is very appropriate.

with that being said, COYS!!!

Re: Official Spurs Thread

Pre-season Friendly vs. Jermain Defoe and Toronto FC on ESPN2 right now.
