Just watched this one, man - if you love Arsenal - this one's for you. It wasn't a chick flick by any means. I love British comedies eitherway, and this was great. Really made me miss living overseas for a bit

Re: The Beautiful Game Thread

Just watched 'The Four Year Plan" on Netflix - it's about QPR and their rise from the Championship. Really enjoyed it, great behind the scene documentary about the inner workings of running a football club in general.

Fixed that for you. But yes, great documentary.

Lol. I don't care, the only disagreements I had was sacking the managers as fast as they did. Negativity by Flavio and Paladini never helped. I really liked watching Amitt and his positive mindset.

I also think it's cool that they go around talking to fans, etc at any point - in public - that is really admirable.

It was a real, and good documentary. I respect the owners for digging QPR out of such a big hole - that alone should be commended.

Re: The Beautiful Game Thread

i think it needed more interaction with the players. we can say what we want about management and ownership of a club, however it is the players who decide how good or bad the team really is. so it would have been nice to see the transformation effect on the team over the 4 years.

Yeah, unfortunately the cameras were only instructed to follow the owners. I did like they had that heart to heart near the end of the 3rd season (I think) where the players voiced their thoughts.

It is interesting how they do talk about players though in the first couple of scenes, let alone the detachment necessary to loan/cut them at will.
